Welcome to My Graphic Design, Marketing and Communications Portfolio!
I’m a senior graphic designer and communications professional with over a decade of experience in branding, print and digital design, and marketing. I’ve worked extensively with non-profits and small businesses to create compelling brands, publications and marketing materials that visually communicate their mission and vision, and inspire people to act.
Throughout my career, I have also created multi-channel marketing and communications plans and strategies for events, campaigns and general visibility. I have contributed by writing/editing copy for publications, email, social media and press releases.
I have designed logos and brands for everything from non-profits, to events, to corporate and small business. All logo projects begin with client discussion, research and brainstorming, and multiple design comps. They include final logos, logo variations, brand style guides and file formats for multiple platforms and uses.
Many of these projects were to create new logos for annual events that could be applied to other collateral such as stationery, brochures, tshirts and posters.
Publication design is the perfect blend of creative and technical.
All of the publications I have designed were full life cycle design projects beginning with client discussion, creating design comps to establish color and image usage and typographic hierarchy, completing layout, pre-flight and print preparation and final archiving.
Many of these publications also included copy editing to creating more succinct and easy to digest blocks of information. Many also included infographics to better relay statistical data.
Creating infographics that make data, information and statistics easy to ready and absorb is a great creative challenge. Many of these infographics were created for print and digital applications. Some were created and laid out specifically to be cut into smaller pieces and used in eblasts and for social media posts.
Throughout my career as a designer I have created nearly every type of collateral in both print and digital formats.
All projects were the full design life cycle from concept to completion and were designed with brand guidelines where applicable.
All website design was completed in WordPress with the use of templates or builders. Some of these websites inluded e-commerce and donation capabilities. All of them included email sign-up integration and some SEO. When necessary, a developer was contracted for more advanced work.
All website projects included training for clients to be able make content updates and referrals to developers for ongoing web updates and maintenance.
